The trustees have been working hard in a number of areas, which we would like to share with you at the AGM. We have developed a business plan which will both shape our future and also enable us to submit funding bids for the project and staff that we need to meet our objects of RSI prevention and support. We have submitted our first major funding bid to the Department of Health, which if successful will mean that we can recruit staff and set up an office in April 2009. We have also had significant correspondence with the Department of Health and the Department of Work and Pensions, which has already resulted in high-level policy meetings with DWP. These are small steps, but very important steps forward. Your interest and support is crucial to enable this work to be successful.

The first funded work will be to produce a comprehensive range of high-quality information to help RSI sufferers and those managing RSI conditions. This information will be published in paper form and also on our website. We would like to hear from our members and RSI sufferers about their views on what information we should provide. We will include an open discussion on this at the AGM. Please contribute, if you are unable to come to the AGM please write or e-mail us.

One of the most important items in the AGM is voting in the board of trustees. RSI Action currently has no employees and is totally reliant upon the voluntary work of its trustees and others. Good trustees are particularly important at this time, as we shape the future of RSI Action, become employers, and set out our first office.

We hope that you will attend the AGM, and contribute to the future of RSI Action.
