Dr Richard Graveling will present aspects of his work studying RSI and its
prevention. Richard is Principal Ergonomics Consultant and Head of Human
Sciences with the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Edinburgh. Richard
has recently compiled the HSE report “Better Display Screen Equipment
work-related ill health data” RR561. The report unsurprisingly finds high
levels of musculoskeletal disorder symptoms in the working population and
identifies that the DSE Regulations have had very little impact on reducing
computer-related injuries. There will also be a report from the recent
international PREMUS conference on the prevention of musculoskeletal
disorders.
